Kola, a contestant on Big Brother Naija Season 10, has been subjected to a stringent penalty after violating one of the show’s fundamental confidentiality rules.
On Monday, Head of House Jason Jae conveyed Big Brother’s decision, revealing that Kola would be prohibited from speaking until further notice.
During this period, Kola is permitted to communicate solely through a writing pad provided by Big Brother.
This disciplinary measure was imposed after Kola disclosed information from a private red telephone conversation, despite explicit instructions not to share its details with other housemates.
The confidential call featured Agent X offering Kola an exclusive luxury manicure and pedicure treatment valued at ₦1 million, which would be deducted from the grand prize money.
Kola ultimately chose to decline this offer.
Big Brother stated, “Kola, you revealed parts of your red telephone conversation even though you were clearly instructed not to discuss it with any other housemate during your time in the Big Brother house.
“As a consequence, you are banned from verbal communication until further notice. Throughout this punishment, you must use the writing pad Big Brother has supplied to convey your messages, except when directly addressing Big Brother.
“Whenever you engage in a dialogue, you are required to write your message on the pad, and the housemate you are speaking to must read your words aloud before responding. This procedure must be maintained for the entire duration of the conversation,” Big Brother explained.
