Nigerian international Paul Onuachu has claimed that his goal against Fatih Karagumruk was not his best of his career.
The Super Eagles forward played a key role in Trabzonspor’s 4-3 away victory over Fatih Karagumruk in the Turkish League.
After his team fell behind, the Super Eagles striker scored twice before halftime to put them in the lead.
His first goal, a stunning overhead kick, quickly made headlines. The 31-year-old reacted sharply to a cross from Edin Visca, connecting with an acrobatic strike that left the goalkeeper with no chance.
Onuachu speaks about his goal
The former Southampton player believes a goal he scored against Konyaspor last year, which was nominated for the FIFA Puskás Award and finished in the top 10, was superior.
“I’m happy the team won and I’m even happier that I scored. It was a good match for us today,” Onuachu told Turkish outlet Fanatik.

“I watched the goal I scored again. It’s good that you reminded me of it, and I also remembered the goal I scored against Konyaspor. I need to look at both, but I can say the goal I scored against Konyaspor was better than the one I scored today.”
Onuachu is currently in the form of his life and has been important in Trabzonspor’s performance this season.
The Super Eagles striker has continued to hit the back of the net the season and he is currently on five goals in his first seven games.
