At a recent convocation ceremony held in Lagos, the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants (CIMA) proudly conferred the Chartered Global Management Accountant (CGMA) designation upon 235 finance and accounting professionals from Nigeria. This milestone marks a significant achievement for these individuals as they join the ranks of globally recognized management accountants.
Renowned as the foremost and largest global body for management accountants, CIMA offers training that is acknowledged in more than 170 countries. Their comprehensive curriculum equips candidates with essential expertise in areas such as financial accounting, risk assessment, strategic leadership, decision-making, performance measurement, and financial analytics-skills that are critical for leadership roles in business.
By earning the CGMA credential, these 235 professionals gain entry into an extensive international network of business and finance experts. Tariro Mutizwa, CIMA’s Vice President for Africa, who attended the event, praised the graduates for their perseverance and dedication in mastering the competencies required for the CGMA qualification.
