In a tragic incident on Yom Kippur, the most sacred day in the Jewish faith, a terrorist attacked a synagogue in Manchester, resulting in two fatalities and four others sustaining severe injuries.

The assailant drove a car into the premises of the Heaton Park Hebrew Congregation synagogue located in Crumpsall, then proceeded to stab several worshippers during a violent six-minute episode. The attack was halted when armed police officers fired two shots, acting on concerns that the attacker might have been wearing an explosive device.
