Galatasaray Set to Spark January Transfer Frenzy by Linking Osimhen with Super Eagles Star Lookman!

Galatasaray, the reigning Turkish league champions, are reportedly gearing up to submit a fresh offer for Atalanta‘s standout winger, Ademola Lookman, during the upcoming January transfer window.

Following a failed attempt to secure the player in the summer transfer period, Galatasaray has renewed discussions with Lookman’s agents, signaling their continued interest.

Lookman was on the verge of departing Italy last summer, with Inter Milan emerging as a potential destination.

Nevertheless, Inter could not match Atalanta’s valuation of the Nigerian international, leading them to withdraw from negotiations.

Potential Reunion with Osimhen on the Horizon

Reports from Turkish media outlet Fanatik reveal that Ademola Lookman remains a prime target for Galatasaray’s head coach Okan Buruk, who was keen on securing the winger’s signature before the previous transfer window closed prematurely.

Galatasaray is now preparing a formal proposal to challenge Atalanta’s stance once again. This initiative follows the club’s successful loan acquisition of Victor Osimhen from Napoli last season, as the Istanbul side aims to replicate that transfer success.

Lookman, who was named African Footballer of the Year, drew considerable attention over the summer due to his impressive form and adaptability on the pitch.

Despite his desire to leave Atalanta and reportedly agreeing to personal terms on a five-year deal with Inter Milan, the transfer did not come to fruition.

Atalanta’s CEO, Antonio Percassi, was reluctant to sell a pivotal player to a direct Serie A rival, making it clear to Lookman that only a transfer abroad would be entertained.

Consequently, Atalanta dismissed Inter Milan’s €45 million offer, compelling the Nerazzurri to explore alternative options in the transfer market.
