Super Falcons Legend Oshoala Blasts Controversial Refereeing: “Madrid Strikes Again” to Favor Los Blancos!

Asisat Oshoala, the renowned Super Eagles star, couldn’t contain her amusement over the refereeing decisions that appeared to favor Real Madrid during their recent LaLiga match against Getafe.

The Nigerian forward openly expressed her disapproval of what she saw as partial officiating that seemed to benefit Real Madrid in their narrow 1-0 triumph over Getafe.

This sentiment was largely shaped by the referee’s swift issuance of two red cards to Getafe players, a crucial turning point that paved the way for Kylian Mbappé’s late decisive goal.

Oshoala’s prediction proves accurate

Before the controversial calls unfolded, Oshoala, who previously played for Barcelona Femeni, took to X (formerly Twitter) to hint at the impending contentious refereeing, implying Real Madrid would gain an advantage. She tweeted, “76mins 0-0 lol …..incoming PK / red card.”

Moments later, Getafe defender Alan Nyom received a straight red card in the 77th minute following a reckless challenge on Vinícius Júnior.

Taking advantage of their numerical superiority, Real Madrid quickly launched a decisive attack as substitute Arda Güler assisted Kylian Mbappé, who scored the winning goal in the 80th minute.

Oshoala’s subsequent tweet resonated with fans: “LMAO 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Madrid strike again 🤣🤣🤣,” underscoring her amusement at how accurately her forecast came true.

Getafe’s numbers dwindle as Madrid dominates

Up until Vinícius’s impactful substitution, Getafe had managed to stifle Real Madrid’s attacks in a tightly contested goalless game. However, the Brazilian’s influence unsettled the visitors, resulting in two red cards.

Following Nyom’s dismissal, Getafe’s Álex Sancris was also sent off in the 84th minute after receiving a second yellow card for fouling Vinícius, reducing Getafe to nine men.

While Real Madrid fans celebrated the win that restored their team to the top of LaLiga, many, including Oshoala, voiced concerns about the fairness of the refereeing, suggesting a clear bias in favor of Los Blancos.
