A recent Reuters/Ipsos survey reveals that the American public holds Republican legislators more responsible than their Democratic counterparts for the ongoing partial government shutdown. The poll also indicates a modest rise in approval ratings for Republican President Donald Trump.
Conducted over six days and concluding on Monday, the survey found Trump’s approval rating at 42%, marking a slight increase of two points compared to earlier this month, which remains within the poll’s margin of error. Since early April, his approval has consistently ranged between 40% and 44%.
