VIDEO: Alleged Dangote Truck Crushes About 20 People to De@th in Akungba, Ondo

A tragic incident has reportedly occurred last evening in Akungba, Ondo State, where an alleged Dangote truck was said to have crushed about 20 people to death.
The heartbreaking news was first shared on X (formerly Twitter) by a user identified as @Uncleayo, who revealed that he received multiple distress messages about the horrifying event.

According to his post:

“I have just received unfortunate news in my DM. Over 100 messages.

@DangoteGroup trailer killed about 20 people in Akungba, Ondo State this evening.

Same incident style that has been claiming student lives for years.

When does this stop?”

Eyewitnesses say the incident occurred near the main road leading to the Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA) area — a location notorious for frequent accidents involving heavy-duty trucks.

This is not the first time the Akungba community has been thrown into mourning due to accidents involving trailers. In previous years, similar incidents involving trucks — some allegedly belonging to major logistics companies — have claimed multiple lives, including students of the university.

As of the time of this report, official details from the Ondo State Police Command or the Dangote Group are yet to be released. However, residents and social media users are expressing deep anger and frustration over what they describe as the government’s failure to regulate heavy trucks plying through densely populated areas.
