President Bola Tinubu has initiated a significant reorganization within the senior leadership of the Service Chiefs, aiming to bolster the nation’s security framework.

According to an official statement from Sunday Dare, the President’s Special Adviser on Media and Public Communication, Olufemi Oluyede has been appointed as the new Chief of Defence Staff, succeeding General Christopher Musa.

In addition, Major General W. Shaibu has been named the Chief of Army Staff, Air Marshal S. K. Aneke will take over as Chief of Air Staff, and Rear Admiral I. Abbas has been appointed Chief of Naval Staff.

Major General E. A. P. Undiendeye continues to serve as Chief of Defence Intelligence, maintaining his crucial role in overseeing military intelligence operations.

President Tinubu conveyed his sincere gratitude to General Christopher Musa and the outgoing Service Chiefs for their unwavering commitment and exemplary leadership during their service.
