In furtherance of its support for the Nigerian visual art sector and artists, Ecobank Nigeria is partnering the Yaba Art Museum of Yaba College of Technology, to launch the Lagos Pop-Up Museum art exhibition.

The exhibition will run from November 8, 2025 to February 10, 2026, at the Ecobank Pan African Centre (EPAC), Victoria Island, Lagos, and will feature multiple seasons including; exhibitions, workshops, performances, artist talks, and more.

Also, the major components of the event include: Adoption Hall – art meets micro-philanthropy to support YabaTech students; Homecoming – cultural restitution brought to life; Drum Up – FESTAC77@50 archival experience; Deep Blue – water consciousness and environmental dialogue and Mutating Space – a living ecosystem of creativity and innovation.

Speaking at the media parley, Bolaji Lawal, managing director/regional executive, Ecobank Nigeria, who was represented by Omoboye Odu, head, SMEs, Partnerships & Collaborations, Ecobank Nigeria, expressed the bank’s excitement at unveiling the Lagos Pop-Up Museum, which she described as a bold and vibrant collaboration between Ecobank Nigeria and the Yaba Art Museum of Yaba College of Technology.

For those looking for art, ideas, and Instagram-worthy moments, Odu insisted that the Lagos Pop-Up Museum is the right place.
“The Lagos Pop-Up Museum is not your regular art show — it is a living, breathing cultural experience designed to engage everyone from art lovers to curious minds,” Odu said.

“It is a creative intervention that bridges institutional knowledge with civic consciousness, proving that art isn’t just for walls — it is for life, learning, and transformation”.
Also speaking at the event, Odun Orimolade, curatorial director, Yaba Arts Museum, Yabatech, said that the exhibition is a celebration of inclination, lost knowledge; things needed to learn, unlearn and relearn to understand who we are as a people. The project, according to her, will help to educate the young generation about arts and also reconnect them to the value of arts.

Orimolade explained that the purpose of the collaboration between the Ecobank and Yabatech for the initiative is to sustain arts students’ education financially and encourage them to embrace art as an important heritage of the nation.

Adeola Balogun, art organising coordinator, Yaba Arts Museum, and lecturer, Department of Fine and Applied Arts, explained that cash proceeds derived from sales of the artworks will benefit 500 students.
According to Balogun, the minimum price for each artwork is N100,000. However, collectors are appealed to pay a little more from N150,000 to N200,000.

Featured at the show are the Benin, Kwara, Kano, Cuba, among other artworks that showcase the rich cultural heritage of the country.
