Egburuonu, NewsOrient Network publisher, 941 others called to Nigerian Bar



The Publisher of NewsOrient Network, Samuel Hezekiah Egburonu, a member of the Nigerian Guild of Editors, is among the 942 latest aspirants called to the Nigerian Bar as Barristers and Solicitors of the Supreme Court of Nigeria.

The Call to Bar ceremony was held at the Body of Benchers Complex, Abuja, on Tuesday, 25th November 2025.

Admitting the aspirants to the learned profession, Hon Justice Olukayode Arewoola, chairman of Body of Benchers, urged the new wigs to protect the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria 1999, as amended, and to protect rule of law and justice always.

In attendance at the colourful event aside from the Body of Benchers Chairman, include the Chief Justice of Nigeria, Hon Justice K. M. O Kekere-Ekun; Olorogun Albert Akpomudje, vice-chairman, Body of Benchers; Lateef Olasunkanmi Fagbemi,, the Hon Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice; Mazi Afam Osigwe, president, Nigerian Bar Association; Daniel M. Tela Esq, secretary of Body of Benchers, and many other Life Benchers and Benchers.

Other distinguished attendees include Emeka Ngige,, chairman, Council of Legal Education; Prof Isa Hayatu Chiroma, director general, Nigerian Law School and Aderonke O. Osho, secretary, Council of Legal Education.
