London funeral prayer for Anthony Joshua’s friends Ghami, Ayodele scheduled for Sunday
The funeral prayer service for Sina Ghami and Abdul Latif Kevin Ayodele, close friends and aides of boxing star Anthony Joshua, has been scheduled for Sunday, January 4, 2026.
The service will take place at the London Central Mosque, 146 Park Road, London NW8 7RG.
Ghami and Ayodele tragically lost their lives in a fatal road accident on Monday, December 29, 2025, along the Lagos–Ibadan Expressway in Nigeria.

The Lexus SUV in which they were travelling, alongside Anthony Joshua, collided with a stationary truck. While the former heavyweight world champion escaped with minor injuries, the crash claimed the lives of his strength and conditioning coach, Ghami, and his personal trainer, popularly known as Latif “Latz” Ayodele.

Following the incident, the bodies of both men were repatriated to the United Kingdom ahead of the funeral arrangements.
Ghami and Ayodele were regarded as integral members of Joshua’s inner circle, playing key roles in his preparation and professional journey. Their deaths have cast a sombre shadow over what was meant to be a celebratory period for the boxer.
Joshua, 36, who was born in Watford to Nigerian parents, had travelled to Nigeria for a holiday after his victory over Jake Paul in Miami on December 19.
