Police have arrested a Libyan driver for attempting to smuggle nine undocumented female migrants from Nigeria. Nigerian Travel Packages
According to Migrant Rescue Watch, an organisation that monitors migrant activities in Libya, the arrest was made during a stop and search control operation at the security gates in Al Jufra district on January 2, 2026.
The driver and the women have been transferred to Al Jufra Security Directorate for legal action.
