The Obidient Movement has warmly congratulated Professor Joash Amupitan on his recent appointment as the new Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
Along with their felicitations, the organization has outlined clear hopes and expectations for the commission’s future under Professor Amupitan’s guidance.
In a communiqué issued on Thursday from Abuja, jointly signed by the National Coordinator, Dr. Yunusa Tanko, and the Director of Strategic Communications and Media, Nana Kazaure, the movement expressed confidence that the new leadership will usher in an era of credible and transparent elections.
The statement highlighted: “Considering the achievements and challenges faced by former INEC chairpersons, we are hopeful that your tenure will mark a transformative phase in Nigeria’s electoral history.
“We look forward to the rollout of a modernized electoral system designed to enhance the impartiality, autonomy, and fairness of our elections, particularly with the 2027 General Elections approaching.
“We extend our best wishes for a successful tenure and pray for wisdom and protection as you navigate the responsibilities of this crucial role.
