Brian Nwana, other Nigerians win 2025 TikTok awards

TikTok has honoured some of Africa’s biggest content creators, recognising the most impactful and inspiring creators across Sub-Saharan Africa.

Abuja-based content creator and Guinness World Record holder Brian Nwana was named TikTok Africa’s Storyteller of the Year.

At the recent event held in South Africa, the China-based company also awarded other Nigerian creators, including Noosi Tiwantiwa and Raja’atu Muhammed Ibrahim, among others.

In a statement on Wednesday, Brian Nwana described the award as “surreal,” stressing that “every single creator is a storyteller.”

“When I started creating content, I just wanted to show people what Abuja had to offer, the amazing food, the creativity, and the places people often overlook,” he said.

According to him, breaking the Guinness World Record by visiting 150 restaurants in one day “helped shine a big light” on what the nation’s capital has to offer.

DAILY POST recalls that in August 2024, GWR officially named Brian Nwana as the world record holder for Most Fast Food Restaurants Visited in 24 Hours.
Nwana, who visited 150 restaurants in 24 hours, surpassed the former record of 100 restaurants held by Canadian YouTuber Eric Decker in 2023.
