Jacqueline Bolling Elton, a 60-year-old American citizen, tragically died in Warri, Delta State, during a visit to see her male partner.
According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, Elton arrived in Warri on September 15, 2025, to stay with her 39-year-old companion, Alawode Olaide.
On the afternoon of Monday, September 29, at approximately 3:00 PM, she suddenly experienced severe health issues and was initially taken to a private clinic in Otokutu.
Subsequently, she was transferred to Warri’s Central Hospital, where medical staff declared her deceased upon arrival.
Authorities were promptly notified, leading to a visit to the residence and the detention of Olaide for further questioning.
The deceased’s remains have been secured at the Central Hospital morgue pending a post-mortem examination. The case will be forwarded to the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) for a thorough investigation.
