Governor Chukwuma Soludo of Anambra State has given the green light for the full adoption of the Consolidated Health Salary Structure (CONHESS) for all health personnel within the state.
This announcement was made public by the state’s Head of Service, Mrs. Theodora Igwegbe, in a statement released on Thursday in Awka.
Governor Soludo’s endorsement covers a wide range of health professionals, including nurses, nurse anesthetists, psychiatric nurses, community health workers, and various technical staff.
Additionally, the approval extends to medical laboratory technicians, medical laboratory scientists, radiographers, and physiotherapists, ensuring comprehensive coverage across health disciplines.
Mrs. Igwegbe further emphasized that this directive applies to all pertinent ministries, departments, agencies, and the Local Government Service Commission within Anambra State.
In a related note, Igwegbe highlighted that all responsible entities have been instructed to begin the implementation process immediately, without any postponements.
She stated, “The State Accountant-General alongside the Local Government Accountant-General have been mandated to facilitate the prompt execution of this policy.”
“It is imperative that all involved parties adhere strictly to this directive,” the statement concluded.
