Igboho Pledges to Launch Bold Offensive in South-West Forests to Eradicate Bandits

Igboho Vows To Storm South-West Forests, Flush Out Bandits

Chief Sunday Adeyemo, widely recognized as Sunday Igboho and a prominent advocate for the Yoruba nation, has urged the Nigerian government to entrust him with the leadership of a security agency. His goal is to spearhead efforts against bandits and terrorists entrenched in forested regions.

Speaking to his supporters in Ibadan, the capital of Oyo State, the activist pledged to infiltrate the hideouts of these criminal factions, confiscate their arms, and dismantle their operations.

He emphasized his commitment by stating he is prepared to sacrifice his life should he fail in this endeavor.

Igboho asserted, “If the government grants me control over a security outfit, I will eliminate the Fulani terrorists. Should I fall short, I challenge the government to take my life.”

This declaration emerges amid a persistent wave of violence perpetrated by armed bandits and terrorists across Nigeria.

Since 2009, the country has grappled with escalating insecurity, culminating in tragic incidents such as the massacre of over 200 individuals in the Yelwata community of Benue State in June 2025.
