The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has voiced strong approval of the security strategies implemented by Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris, and has committed to collaborating with his administration to further strengthen peace and security across the state.
This endorsement came during a formal visit to the Government House in Birnin Kebbi on Tuesday, coinciding with the Forum’s 25th anniversary celebrations.
Alhaji Dalhatu Dutse, Chairman of the ACF Board of Trustees, praised Governor Idris’s leadership and his proactive security policies, highlighting the notable progress Kebbi State has made in safeguarding its residents and properties under his governance.
“We commend your dedication to protecting lives and assets within Kebbi. Your administration’s focus on citizen welfare and security is truly admirable,” Dutse remarked.
He further reiterated the Forum’s mission to uphold and advance the interests and cultural values of Northern Nigeria, stressing the importance of united efforts to confront the region’s security challenges. “Our collaboration with your government will be pivotal in addressing security concerns and fostering development in Kebbi,” he stated.
Additionally, ACF National Executive Council Chairman, Mamman Osman, SAN, encouraged the governor to stay alert to evolving security threats, while applauding his administration’s forward-thinking approach to maintaining order and tranquility in the state. “Your commitment to peace and stability is highly commendable,” Osman noted.
Governor Idris responded by reaffirming his administration’s unwavering dedication to ensuring the safety of Kebbi’s populace. He pledged ongoing cooperation with security agencies and community stakeholders to effectively tackle security issues.
“Our priority remains the protection and security of every citizen. We value the ACF’s partnership and are eager to work hand-in-hand to create a safer and more prosperous Kebbi State,” the governor concluded.
