iStore, Nigeria’s official Apple Premium Reseller, has launched a brand-new outlet at Jabi Lake Mall in Abuja.
The grand opening event, held recently, marked a significant step toward connecting Nigeria’s tech enthusiasts with genuine Apple products and experiences. The occasion drew a diverse crowd, including technology fans, social media influencers, and key figures from the industry.
Troy Griffin, the senior marketing manager for iStore Africa, emphasized the strategic choice of Abuja for this expansion. “Abuja is a vibrant city brimming with opportunities and a growing community of tech-savvy consumers who have been eagerly awaiting this. We believed it was the perfect location to introduce the full spectrum of Apple products and the premium reseller experience,” he remarked.
This new iStore location represents the second Premium Reseller store in Nigeria and offers the entire Apple lineup-from the latest iPhone 17 series to iPads, Macs, Apple Watches, AirPods, and a wide range of accessories. Customers can also benefit from after-sales services, trade-in programs, and extended warranty options.
Griffin highlighted that the store is more than just a retail space; it is designed as a community center where Apple-certified experts assist customers with personalized advice and support to maximize their device usage.
“From the moment you enter, our knowledgeable consultants welcome you warmly and are ready to help you get the best out of your Apple products,” he added.
Addressing concerns about counterfeit products prevalent in Nigeria’s unofficial markets, Griffin assured shoppers that the Abuja iStore guarantees 100% authentic Apple merchandise. “Every item we sell carries Apple’s official certification and includes a two-year warranty, ensuring peace of mind for our customers,” he stated.
Williams Ogoke, the store manager for the Abuja branch, showcased the flagship iPhone 17 series, detailing its standout features such as the powerful A19 chip, a 48MP dual-lens camera system, ProMotion display technology, and the ultra-light titanium design of the iPhone 17 Air. He described the Pro and Pro Max models as ideal for “content creators and power users,” boasting advanced triple-camera setups and up to 8x optical zoom. Additionally, he emphasized the health and wellness advantages offered by Apple’s wearable devices.
“The Apple Watch is more than just a gadget; it’s a companion for a healthier lifestyle, helping you monitor your fitness, track health metrics, and encouraging regular movement throughout your day. It’s about enhancing longevity and quality of life,” Ogoke explained.
Kolapo Arogundade, general manager of iStore Nigeria, shared that the Abuja store launch was part of a broader mission to make Apple products more accessible across the country. “Everyone desires an iPhone, and our role is to make that dream attainable. Recognizing the economic challenges many face, we provide flexible payment options like device financing and trade-in deals. Customers can trade in an iPhone that’s up to five years old and spread the remaining cost over 12 or 24 months, making ownership more manageable,” he said.
Beyond affordability, Arogundade tackled skepticism surrounding the authenticity of Apple devices in Nigeria. “There’s a misconception that genuine iPhones aren’t available locally, largely due to counterfeit products flooding the market. Purchasing from iStore eliminates that worry, offering a two-year warranty, complimentary technical support, and the confidence that you’re buying an original Apple product,” he emphasized.
Looking forward, Arogundade expressed optimism about the growing influence of smartphones in Nigeria’s digital landscape, predicting their role will become even more pivotal in driving the country’s tech economy.
