The entry period for the 19th edition of the SERAS Africa CSR & Sustainability Awards has officially ended, with a record-breaking total of 325 submissions from organisations spanning the African continent.
Organisers highlight that this unprecedented participation reflects the increasing importance of sustainability as a catalyst for innovation, ethical business practices, and inclusive economic development throughout Africa. Since its launch in 2007, the SERAS Awards have established themselves as the premier standard for recognising excellence in corporate social responsibility and sustainable development across the region. The upcoming 2025 awards cycle is anticipated to be the most fiercely contested to date.
The awards ceremony is scheduled to take place next month in Lagos.
Ken Egbas, Founder of The SERAS CSR Awards Africa, remarked, “The surge in entries this year clearly demonstrates the evolution of the sustainability agenda in Africa. It is no longer viewed as a peripheral effort but as a fundamental element driving growth, competitive advantage, and enduring impact. Under the theme ‘Sustainability 2.0: Innovating for Impact and Inclusive Growth,’ this edition will celebrate organisations and leaders who are leveraging innovation, technology, and strategic thinking to create tangible benefits for their communities and sectors.”
