Wife of Immigration Officer Abducted in Lagos: Shocking Kidnapping Sparks Urgent Search

The Seme Command of the Nigeria Immigration Service in Badagry, Lagos State, has reported the abduction of Mrs. Ladi Abel, the spouse of one of its officers.

According to Mr. Isaac Elijah, the Public Relations Officer for the command, the 45-year-old woman was taken hostage on Monday along the Badagry-Mile 2 Expressway in Lagos.

Mrs. Abel had left her residence in Sawmill, Badagry, at approximately 7 a.m. to visit the Trade Fair complex on the same route to purchase merchandise when the incident occurred.

Elijah revealed that one of the kidnappers used Mrs. Abel’s phone to contact her husband, CSI Abel Mada, demanding a ransom of N7 million for her release.

He added that on Tuesday around 6 a.m., the kidnappers reduced the ransom amount to N3 million, warning that this was the price to keep her alive.

The Public Relations Officer confirmed that the matter has been officially reported to both the Badagry Police Station and the Area K Zonal office of the Nigeria Police Force.

Members of the public with any information about the abduction are encouraged to reach out to the family at 0808 088 3848.
