Today, Air Peace, Nigeria’s leading airline, experienced an unexpected interruption during its scheduled flight from Abuja to Asaba. The aircraft aborted its takeoff shortly after initiating the roll on the runway.
In an official communication, the airline confirmed that the plane was safely returned to the apron as a precaution. Passengers disembarked in an orderly manner, with no reports of injuries or safety concerns.
The statement from Air Peace explained, “The takeoff was halted during the initial acceleration phase from Abuja to Asaba. Following our strict safety protocols, the aircraft was immediately directed back to the parking area, allowing passengers to leave the aircraft without any issues.”
To reduce disruption, Air Peace promptly deployed a substitute aircraft to complete the journey, ensuring travelers arrived at their destination with minimal delay.
Simultaneously, the airline’s technical team commenced a thorough inspection of the original plane, strictly following all maintenance and safety guidelines.
