A Nigerian woman named Amaka has ignited a lively online discussion after declaring that she refuses to marry a man who does not speak in tongues.
In a widely shared video, Amaka expressed her belief that men who neither speak in tongues nor actively participate in church ministries tend to be unfaithful and lack spiritual depth.
Men who don’t speak in tongues often lack loyalty
She asserted that such men are unreliable when it comes to leading a spiritually grounded household or maintaining fidelity in marriage.
Amaka further explained that many marital breakdowns stem from choosing partners who are spiritually inactive, emphasizing that speaking in tongues is a clear indication of being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Spiritually engaged men demonstrate greater faithfulness
She highlighted that men who pray in tongues and are involved in church activities tend to exhibit loyalty, discipline, and a strong connection with God.
She stated …
“A man who doesn’t speak in tongues and isn’t part of any church group won’t be loyal. That’s a fact. Conversely, a man who prays in tongues and serves in a church department is faithful and spiritually empowered. Many marriages fail today because people marry men who don’t speak in tongues or participate in church. For me, marrying a man who doesn’t speak in tongues is out of the question.”
When asked if speaking in tongues should be a non-negotiable factor in choosing a spouse, she responded firmly, “Absolutely. As a Christian, that’s a must-have for anyone who wants to marry me.”
