CAF Nominates Nnadozie for Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year Award

Chiamaka Nnadozie, a standout goalkeeper for the Super Falcons, has been named among the nominees for the 2025 CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, marking another milestone in her flourishing career.

Competing for the 2025 Women’s Yachine Trophy alongside Nigeria’s Nnadozie are Germany’s Ann-Katrin Berger, Spain’s Cata Coll, England’s Hannah Hampton, and the Netherlands’ Daphne van Domselaar.

After securing the inaugural CAF Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year award in 2023 and successfully defending it in 2024, Nnadozie is widely regarded as the frontrunner to claim this prestigious title for a third straight year. At only 24 years old, her consistent excellence has been evident both at club level and on the international stage.

Her instrumental performances were pivotal in Nigeria’s triumphant campaign at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations, where the Super Falcons clinched their historic 10th continental title.

Throughout the tournament, Nnadozie’s outstanding goalkeeping earned her the Best Goalkeeper award, underscoring her critical role in Nigeria’s success.

On the global stage, her skills have not gone unnoticed; she recently placed fourth in the voting for the 2025 Ballon d’Or Women’s Goalkeeper of the Year, reflecting her rising international stature.
