Acclaimed Nigerian actress Regina Daniels has publicly accused her spouse of enduring domestic violence within their marriage.
The mother of two disclosed that the abuse she faces in her husband’s residence has intensified to a point where it is no longer tolerable.
Regina is wedded to Senator Ned Nwoko, a notable political leader serving as the representative for Delta North in Nigeria’s National Assembly.
A widely shared video clip shows Regina accusing her husband of sending his aides to physically attack her.
In the recording, she is visibly shaken, her voice quivering as she narrates the harrowing event.
Onlookers attempted to soothe her by urging her to sit and gently pouring water over her head to ease her distress.
She stated, “Ned dispatched his men to come after me. Within Ned Nwoko’s household, I am treated as though I am worthless, yet in my own home, I am honored like a queen. This mistreatment has become intolerable; I can no longer endure it.”
Their union, which began when Nwoko was 60 years old, has attracted significant public scrutiny.
The billionaire and traditional leader is almost forty years senior to Regina, and their marriage has ignited widespread debate both domestically and internationally, largely due to their substantial age gap and the fact that Regina was still a teenager at the time of their wedding.
