Super Eagles attacker and Galatasaray frontman Victor Osimhen is poised to break the club’s European scoring record when Galatasaray hosts Bodo/Glimt in the UEFA Champions League clash tomorrow, as reported by Soccernet.ng.
Since committing to a four-year deal in August, the 26-year-old has impressively tallied 37 goals and contributed seven assists in 41 outings for the Istanbul-based giants.
Under the guidance of coach Okan Buruk, Osimhen has already found the net three times in seven appearances this season and is determined to further etch his name in the history books at RAMS Park by reaching another landmark goal.

Tomorrow, the Turkish giants will welcome Norwegian side Bodo/Glimt for the third round of the UEFA Champions League group phase.
Osimhen made a brief 12-minute appearance in Galatasaray’s recent Turkish Super Lig match against Basaksehir, following his remarkable hat-trick for Nigeria’s Super Eagles during the international break versus the Republic of Benin.
Osimhen Eyes New European Goal-Scoring Milestone
The ex-Napoli star has already made history by becoming the first player in Galatasaray’s annals to score 37 goals in a single campaign, setting a fresh club record.

His next target is to eclipse the record for the most consecutive European goals scored for Galatasaray, a distinction currently held jointly with Burak Yilmaz, who scored in six straight European matches back in 2012.
Scoring against Bodo/Glimt would crown Osimhen as the sole holder of this prestigious record.
During last season’s UEFA Europa League, the Nigerian forward found the back of the net against elite European teams such as Tottenham Hotspur, AZ Alkmaar, Dynamo Kiev, and Ajax.
An ankle injury kept Osimhen out of Galatasaray’s Champions League opener against Frankfurt, but he bounced back in time to extend his scoring streak with a goal against Liverpool.

The upcoming match against Bodo/Glimt offers Osimhen a prime opportunity to boost his European goal count, and he is expected to seize this chance with determination.
