Guinness Nigeria has triumphantly made its return to the Anambra market with the introduction of Guinness Smooth, a premium beer crafted to offer consumers a milder and more refined alternative to their regular beer selections.
At the unveiling event, the brand underscored its commitment not only to leading innovation within the beverage industry but also to driving meaningful community empowerment initiatives that positively impact local lives.
During a press conference, Ife Odedere, Senior Brand Manager and Category Lead for Guinness, described Guinness Smooth as a carefully crafted brew designed for those who enjoy a rich yet approachable taste experience.
He highlighted that the product’s newly revamped packaging, updated brand visuals, and improved flavor profile make this relaunch timely, especially in Anambra-a key market where Guinness Foreign Extra Stout already enjoys strong loyalty. Guinness Smooth is tailored for drinkers who prefer a lighter, smoother alternative to the robust Foreign Extra Stout.
Odedere explained that Anambra was chosen for this reintroduction due to its vibrant cultural landscape, energetic nightlife scene, and predominantly youthful population.
Expanding on the campaign slogan, “The Smooth Side of Beer,” Ife emphasized that it reflects the crisp, flavorful nature of Guinness Smooth, positioning it as a refreshing and pleasurable choice. He also revealed plans to host regular social and entertainment events at popular hotspots across the state to engage consumers directly.
In his remarks, Adesoji Opeyemi, Head of Division, East (overseeing Anambra and Delta States), reiterated Guinness Nigeria’s dedication to maintaining steady supply of Guinness Smooth, with a focus on reaching even the most remote and underserved communities.
