A recent nationwide survey reveals that a significant portion of the American public supports confining the use of armed forces exclusively to addressing international dangers. This sentiment emerges as military units have been stationed in various U.S. cities during the Trump administration‘s tenure.

The Reuters/Ipsos poll released on Wednesday found that 58% of participants believe presidential authorization for military action should be reserved solely for foreign threats. Meanwhile, 25% of respondents are amenable to deploying troops for other domestic purposes, and 18% remain uncertain about the appropriate scope of military involvement within the country.
