Experience Two Enchanting Plays Over Ten Unforgettable Evenings
From November 28 to December 7, 2025, aficionados of African storytelling, theatre lovers, members of the African diaspora, and adventurous visitors will gather for a mesmerizing theatrical journey at one of Nigeria’s most stunning coastal retreats.
Each day, audiences will be captivated by two compelling productions, The Noble Warrior and Fork in The Road, both crafted and directed by the acclaimed Cash Onadele Aiye-Ko-Otoo. These performances will take place from noon until nightfall at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort, located in Ikegun Village, Ibeju-Lekki, Lagos.
These narratives transcend borders, exploring universal human experiences while remaining deeply anchored in African cultural heritage. Attendees can expect emotionally charged stories that linger in the heart long after the final act.
Adding to the immersive atmosphere, traditional African dances and the pulsating rhythms of native drums will envelop the audience in a vibrant celebration of the continent’s rich legacy.
This theatrical event forms a key highlight of the 10-day IPADA Initiative Celebration 2025, a highly anticipated gathering attracting participants from Nigeria, across Africa, and the global diaspora.
The creators emphasize that this production pays homage to Africa’s theatrical roots in their purest form. The performances will blend drama, music, dance, intricate costumes, and dynamic lighting to craft an enchanting storytelling environment that amplifies authentic African voices.
Over the course of ten days, the festival seeks to engage a broad spectrum of spectators. A skilled troupe of Nigerian actors, celebrated for their prowess in live theatre and performance arts, will bring these powerful stories to life.
With excitement building, the festival has been named “Africa Rising,” promising a remarkable stage for African narratives to flourish.
“This event is more than a revival; it is a reclamation of Africa’s brilliance and future through the creative genius of its leading artists,” the organizers declared.
“It is not merely a festival but a cultural renaissance-a revival of artistic expression and a tribute to history, heritage, and identity reborn for audiences worldwide.”
The invitation is open to theatre enthusiasts, tourists, local communities, investors, diaspora returnees, and visionaries to join this cultural awakening, where tradition meets spectacle, art merges with influence, and voices unite with imagination.
“Here, theatre stands as a symbol of pride and a magnet drawing global attention. Africa will reclaim its rightful place on the world’s cultural stage, and attendees will not only witness history but actively participate in moments of joy and celebration.”
Aiye-Ko-Otoo’s storytelling is profoundly African, elevating the theatrical craft to new heights.
“These stories belong to all of us. Join us at IPADA Initiative 2025, where you won’t just watch history-you will become part of it and help shape what lies ahead.
“In this era of Africa’s resurgence, the tales are fierce, passionate, and compelling. Listen closely, and you will hear the drums, the rhythm of footsteps, the rising voices, and feel the magic of theatre come alive.
“This is a cultural revolution, a rebirth of an art form, a retelling of history, and a restoration of Africa’s pride. Every story, every drumbeat, every fiery performance proclaims one undeniable truth: Africa is the cradle of humanity’s soul,” the organizers concluded.
Launched last year by Wanle Akinboboye, founder and president of La Campagne and Motherland Beckons, the IPADA Initiative Celebrations seek to reimagine Africa through the collective strength of its global community.
With a mission to boost tourism and economic development in Nigeria and across Africa, the initiative invites Africans in the diaspora and admirers of the continent to reconnect with their roots and contribute to its progress.
Lagos and Abuja serve as vital gateways to Nigeria and Africa, hosting year-round activities that culminate in a grand festival at La Campagne Tropicana Beach Resort each November and December.
Backed by the Nigerian federal government, state agencies, corporate sponsors, cultural and tourism bodies, and the Ministry of Arts, Culture, Tourism and Creative Economy, the initiative proudly counts President Bola Tinubu as its global ambassador, chief host, and grand patron.
Reflecting on the initiative’s significance, Akinboboye highlighted the vital role of the African diaspora, which numbers roughly 32 million in the Caribbean, 66 million in the United States, 120 million in Brazil, and nearly 10 million in Europe.
“No nation can prosper without the active involvement of its diaspora. IPADA presents Africa as a unified marketplace, inviting the diaspora to explore all 54 African countries through hubs in Lagos and Abuja,” he explained.
