In a thoughtful video shared on Instagram, Korede highlighted how financial hardship stifles curiosity-the essential spark behind learning and innovation.
He illustrated his point by referencing Elon Musk, noting that the tech mogul’s groundbreaking ideas about space exploration would be unimaginable if he were preoccupied with basic needs like paying rent or securing meals.
“Imagine if Elon Musk had to worry about rent or where his next meal was coming from-would he still be focused on space travel?” Korede questioned.
He emphasized that countless individuals with immense potential are held back from nurturing their creativity because their energy is consumed by the struggle to survive.
Korede further asserted that if young Africans had reliable access to fundamental resources, the continent could witness a remarkable surge in innovation and progress.
“If financial constraints were removed, what new skills would you pursue? What ideas would you explore? The reality is, having the freedom to chase your curiosity is a luxury reserved for those not burdened by survival.”
The singer also pointed out that many of the world’s most accomplished figures often transcend formal education-they are driven by self-learning, inquisitiveness, and a deep passion for understanding how things work.
He wrapped up his message with a powerful thought: “True living begins when you move beyond just surviving. As long as survival is your focus, you never truly live.”
