Nigerian forward Akor Adams has made a striking impact at Sevilla, netting goals in back-to-back matches, including a key contribution in their commanding 4-1 triumph over Barcelona, according to Soccernet.ng.
Sevilla, managed by Hansi Flick, faced the challenge of missing crucial players Lamine Yamal and Raphinha, yet still delivered a dominant performance.
Adams, who transferred from Montpellier during the winter window, initially struggled to adapt to Spanish football due to persistent muscle injuries that hampered his early progress.

Recently, Adams rediscovered his goal-scoring rhythm, opening his account for Sevilla as a substitute against Rayo Vallecano. He then came off the bench once more to score after a slick combination with teammate Chidera Ejuke in the recent clash with Barcelona.
Adams Reflects on Sevilla’s Important Win
The victory over Barcelona propelled Sevilla, the record holders of the UEFA Europa League, to sixth place in La Liga. The 25-year-old striker praised the collective effort that led to the success.
“This result is a testament to the team’s hard work. We stayed focused and executed our plan perfectly, and it’s rewarding to see that pay off,” Adams shared in an interview with One Football.

Scoring his first goal in front of the passionate Sevilla supporters was a milestone for Adams, who described the moment as ‘historic’.
“It’s a landmark moment for me. We must focus on the positives and move forward,” he said.
“It’s incredible. I want to give credit to Isaac Romero. My priority was to defend first and then push forward. I’m thrilled to have scored my first goal at the Ramón Sánchez-Pizjuán,” Adams added.

Having recently earned his first call-up to the Nigerian Super Eagles for the October international fixtures, Adams is eager to make his debut and continue his upward trajectory on the international stage.
