Rashford’s Perspective
Having twice exceeded 17 Premier League goals in a single season, Rashford confessed that despite his ambition to maintain a high level of performance, the persistent instability at Manchester United made this a formidable challenge.
“Consistency is crucial,” Rashford remarked. “But being part of an environment that has been unsettled for so long naturally makes it harder to keep delivering at a steady pace.”
He elaborated, “In any career-not just football-achieving regularity depends on having a stable setting in your daily life and training. Unfortunately, the constant upheavals around me disrupted that balance.”
“I’ve seen many changes throughout my career, yet my focus remains on growth. Improving my consistency is essential if I want to unlock my full potential more frequently,” Rashford added.
Since his senior debut under Louis van Gaal in 2016, Rashford has experienced an unusually high turnover of managers for a player still in his early twenties. His managerial roster includes José Mourinho, Ole Gunnar Solskjær, Ralf Rangnick, Erik ten Hag, alongside interim stints with Michael Carrick and Ruud van Nistelrooy.
By the time Ruben Amorim assumed control, Rashford was already adjusting to his sixth managerial change-a rare scenario for a young player. His most productive spell came under Solskjær, where he scored 55 goals and provided 36 assists in 135 appearances, thriving under the Norwegian’s attacking philosophy that seemed to maximize his talents.
Currently, Rashford is enjoying a revival under Hansi Flick at Barcelona. The Catalan club reportedly holds an option to make his loan permanent next summer, a prospect that excites both the player and the team.
