A trusted confidant of Sean “Diddy” Combs has come forward with a harrowing account of a violent encounter inside MDC Brooklyn, where the famed music mogul is currently detained.
Charlucci Finney recounted to the Daily Mail a chilling moment when Diddy suddenly awoke to the sharp pressure of a knife pressed against his throat-an assault that nearly turned fatal. Finney admitted uncertainty about whether prison personnel intervened in time or if Diddy himself managed to fend off the attacker, underscoring how narrowly disaster was averted.
Additional sources corroborated the incident to TMZ, describing the attack as a calculated attempt to intimidate Diddy. Finney explained that such acts are often designed to instill fear, particularly targeting inmates convicted of sex-related offenses, who face unique dangers within prison walls.
During the sentencing proceedings, Diddy’s lawyer Brian Steel referenced this incident, highlighting that a correctional officer’s swift response prevented serious harm.
Diddy is currently serving a 50-month federal sentence after being found guilty on two counts of violating the Mann Act, which involves the illegal transportation of individuals across state lines. He was, however, acquitted of charges related to sex trafficking and racketeering.
Meanwhile, speculation has swirled about a possible presidential pardon from former President Donald Trump. Although the White House Communications Office has denied these rumors, TMZ stands by the reliability of its sources.
Prison analyst Sam Mangel, speaking on TMZ Live, noted that Diddy is expected to be transferred to a facility with a lower incidence of violence than MDC Brooklyn. Still, Mangel warned that episodes like this highlight the ongoing need for vigilance and caution in correctional settings.
Those close to Diddy remain deeply concerned for his safety. Finney described the knife attack as “terrifying,” a stark reminder of how quickly peril can escalate behind bars.
