Myanmar’s military has initiated a major operation to dismantle a sprawling online fraud syndicate situated near the Thai frontier, according to official reports.
During this crackdown, authorities apprehended more than 2,000 suspects linked to the fraudulent scheme and seized a significant number of Starlink satellite internet devices, state-run media revealed.
According to the Myanma Alinn publication, the military focused its efforts on KK Park, a well-known center for cybercrime, as part of a wider initiative launched in early September. This campaign targets not only online scams but also illegal gambling and cross-border cybercrime activities.
