Barcelona attacking talent Lamine Yamal is on the verge of returning from injury.
Barcelona have received promising updates regarding the fitness of their young winger Lamine Yamal, who is expected to be available for selection soon after the forthcoming international break, providing a boost ahead of a challenging fixture list.
Injury Background and Challenges Faced
Yamal suffered a groin strain during Spain’s September international matches, which forced him to miss four crucial games in La Liga and other competitions, including fixtures against Valencia, Getafe, Newcastle, and Real Oviedo.
He made a brief return as a substitute in the match against Real Sociedad and later completed a full game in the Champions League fixture versus Paris Saint-Germain.
Regrettably, the discomfort in his pubic region reappeared immediately after the PSG match, compelling Barcelona to sideline him once again for an estimated two to three weeks.
This relapse caused him to miss the La Liga encounter at Sevilla, which ended in a heavy 4-1 defeat for Barcelona, as well as the recent international break matches.
Expected Return and Upcoming Matches
Concerns arose over Yamal’s availability for the upcoming La Liga clash with Girona, scheduled immediately after the international hiatus, along with the subsequent Champions League fixture against Olympiacos.
However, reports from Spanish media outlet Dario AS indicate that his recovery is advancing well. Barring any unexpected setbacks, Yamal is projected to be match-fit for the Girona game this weekend, and poised to feature in the Champions League tie with Olympiacos, as well as the eagerly awaited El Clasico shortly after.
