Galatasaray vs Bodo/Glimt: They deserve the praise — Osimhen reacts to record-setting Champions League performance

Victor Osimhen’s post-match comments after the record-setting performance in the Champions League against Bodo/Glimt.

Super Eagles forward Victor Osimhen insisted that his teammates deserve the praise after his talismanic performance in the Champions League victory over Bodo/Glimt.

The 26-year-old scored in the 3rd and 33rd minutes of the 3-1 victory against the Norwegian side. The win came off the back of the triumph over Liverpool, in which Osimhen scored the winner, helping Galatasaray to six points from a possible nine.

What Osimhen said

As Pulse Sports reported, the Nigerian striker scored in his seventh consecutive European match for Galatasaray, the first player in the club’s history to achieve that feat

Osimhen said that his teammates were responsible for his achievements, congratulating them for the two victories they had gotten in the Champions League group phase.

“It was a very important match. I want to congratulate my teammates. The opponent pushed us hard in the second half. We got a very important win. Thank you, everyone; I’m not breaking these records alone. We’ll continue to build on this momentum,” he said, per T24

“I’ve won two matches thanks to my teammates; I haven’t won alone. I’d like my other teammates to win too. I want to help the team with my goals and assists, or if that doesn’t work out, I want to help with my fighting. I’ll be very happy if one of my teammates wins this.”
